Babcox Media Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Brendan Baker to the position of editor of Motorcycle & Powersports News (MPN). Baker has been with Babcox for more than 11 years, and most recently served as senior editor for MPN. In addition, he serves as content director for Babcox’s Engine Builder and Speedville.com brands.

"The industry expertise he has accrued during his time with the company will serve him well in this new role as editor of MPN. Brendan’s passion for racing and for powersports, along with his prior experience as a crew member for several professional racing organizations, will be evident as he continues to enhance his involvement within the powersports market.”
In conjunction with Baker’s new appointment, Robin Hartfiel has been appointed to the position of editor-at-large for MPN. Based in Irvine, Calif., Hartfiel has been a contributing writer for MPN and industry consultant. As editor-at-large, he will be responsible for reporting on the powersports market for MPN, as well as representing MPN in the marketplace at industry events and functions and assisting with the implementation of an industry advisory board. In addition to expanding his role with MPN, he will continue his involvement within the powersports market, where he serves in a variety of industry consulting roles. Hartfiel previously served as editor and publisher of MPN through 2008.

Colleen Brousil, editor of MPN, who has served in a variety of editorial capacities with the brand since 2002, leaves her role with Babcox Media to take another position within the industry, as director of marketing for ARI, a technology solutions company based in Milwaukee, Wis.
