Motoplex West Chester is proud to announce an official sponsorship of rider Kaleb De Keyrel for the 2022 MotoAmerica season. De Keyrel is the championship winner of the 2021 MotoAmerica Twins Cup Series piloting the Aprilia RS660. The combination of De Keyrel and the proven Italian twin-cylinder Aprilia RS660 dominated the season, finishing with 234 points — 68 more than the closest rival.
Mark Klein, president of Motoplex West Chester, said, “We are excited to announce this partnership with Kaleb and look forward to sharing the 2022 MotoAmerica journey at full throttle. It’s our desire to promote motorcycle racing and extend the experience and appeal of the sport to a younger generation.” Klein is a former race team manager competing in superbike/super sport series sanctioned by AMA Superbike Series, Championship Cup Series and WERA Motorcycle Road racing. Klein has been active in the motorcycle industry for the last 40 years.
De Keyrel, age 24, No. 51, is from White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Born into a motocross family, De Keyrel found his passion for riding at an early age, starting with BMX racing, transitioning into motocross and finally switching at age 11 to road racing full time. Since then, De Keyrel has been a rising star and continues to reach for new goals, all while enjoying what he was born to do:
- 2021: MotoAmerica Twins Cup champion
- 2020: Won three rounds of MotoAmerica Twins Cup and in all scored nine podium finishes en-route to finishing the season ranked second
- 2018: Raced pro motocross
- 2017: Raced the final round of MotoAmerica Supersport at Barber
- 2016: Raced select club events
- 2015: Scored six top-10 MotoAmerica Supersport finishes with a best of fifth at Circuit of the Americas and finished 13th in the series
- 2014: Had a breakout season in AMA Pro Supersport, earning two podium finishes and ending the season ranked fifth
- 2013: Raced AMA Pro Supersport East and finished 11th in the championship, scoring three top-10 finishes.
