Feld Entertainment received its third regional Emmy Award in the Sports-Event/Game-Live/Unedited category for its 2016 Monster Energy Cup TV Broadcast.
The award was presented at the 43rd Annual Pacific Southwest Emmy Awards on June 24 by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Since 1949, Emmy Award statuettes have been awarded for outstanding achievement in sports television coverage. Feld has received three awards from four nominations.
Feld Entertainment’s Vice President of Television for Two Wheel, Michael Prince, was in San Diego to accept the Emmy on behalf of the team, which includes: Todd Jendro, Dave Prater, Kenyon Blower, Chris Bond, Jeff Manhart, Tim A. Watson, Doreen Murray and Brian Lockwood.
“As TV ratings continue to grow each year, our goal is to capture and broadcast the best two-wheel racing action for Supercross fans who aren’t able to make it out to the live race. It is a team effort and there are many unique stories to tell about these athletes under every helmet that keep fans tuned in,” said Michael Prince.
