Michael Sayre has been named government relations manager for on-highway issues by the American Motorcyclist Association.
Sayre has been working for the organization as grassroots coordinator since January 2016 and has been an AMA member since 2012. He will continue working in the nonprofit association’s Washington, D.C., office.
“We are very pleased to have someone of Michael’s caliber to fill this important role in our Washington, D.C., office,” said AMA Vice President of Government Relations Wayne Allard.
In his new role, Sayre is responsible for monitoring all legislative and regulatory actions related to on-highway motorcycling and working with AMA members, other riders and state motorcycle rights organizations to fulfill the AMA mission to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling.
Sayre, 29, holds a bachelor’s in political science and history from the University of Michigan and a master’s of public policy from Michigan State University.
