MIC Promotes Intern to Full-Time Public Relations Specialist

“Juliane’s love of motorcycling is clear — just take a look at her Instagram account,” said Andria Yu. “She has shown tremendous dedication to helping the industry grow.

Juliane Eger, whose work ethic and passion shone through during her internship at the Motorcycle Industry Council last summer, is now a full-time staff member serving as public relations specialist. Eger, who recently completed her master’s degree in Germany, will add her talent and energy to the communications department.

“Juliane’s love of motorcycling is clear — just take a look at her Instagram account,” said Andria Yu, MIC director of communications. “And she has shown tremendous dedication to helping the industry grow. She is well-versed in social media and we expect she will help us energize our presence on social platforms and online to reach even more next-generation audiences and inspire them to learn to ride.”

While working on her master’s in marketing and communications at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida in Germany, Eger also contributed to 1000ps.at, one of Europe’s largest online motorcycle magazines. She had the opportunity to test ride and write about many new motorcycles, and gained experience working with the media.

Eger also completed internships with BMW Motorrad in Munich, Germany, where she worked in marketing and event management, and in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, where she worked in product management and sales distribution.

“My master’s studies and my work with the online motorcycle magazine exposed me to new ideas for marketing, especially when it comes to marketing to younger generations and the influencers they follow,” Eger said. “I’m very excited to start my full-time position with the association and work with such an amazing team.”

Eger, who also earned her bachelor’s degree from Mittweida, has nearly a decade of riding experience including numerous track days on road racing circuits around Europe and motorcycle tours on many great roads across the Continent. During her internship at the MIC, Eger made sure to take in the entire California experience by doing several motorcycle camping trips, with friends and solo.

“Riding is just a part of who I am, and I want to share the many joys of motorcycling with as many people as I can,” said Eger, who will be based in the Irvine, CA, office.
