Participants on the Saturday, July 11, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days dinner ride to the vintage dirt track race at Ashland Country Fairgrounds will enjoy a special gift from AMA member benefit partner MAD Maps.
MAD Maps will provide each ride participant with a high-quality riding map of the Ohio-Kentucky-West Virginia area. This map features routes that cater to motorcyclists, with 28 weekend getaways and day trips, focusing on scenic highways and byways.
“AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days attracts some of the most enthusiastic riders in the country,” said MAD Maps Chief Product Officer Jenny Lefferts. “MAD Maps aren’t your ordinary road maps. We develop our rides with the help of local road scouts who know the back roads like the back of their hand. Our scouts are our product. Instead of relying on satellites in the sky, our development depends on real people on the ground. We are especially thankful to all the AMA members who have helped us compile ride information over the years.”
The Ashland Dinner Ride, presented by MAD Maps, is an annual tradition at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. For a $35 donation to the Hall of Fame, participants ride from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to the Ashland County Fairgrounds, enjoy dinner at the track, and then stay for the races, which will feature period-correct classes. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Grand Marshal David Aldana will participate in the vintage racing.
MAD Maps also will provide the first 500 AMA members who show their card at the AMA Oasis in the infield at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course a free “Get Outta Town” MAD Map for the Columbus, Ohio, area.
MAD Maps (www.madmaps.com) feature color-coded routes with inter-connectable trip options, water- and tear-resistant paper, national parks, roadside attractions, roadhouses, visitor information and turn-by-turn directions. Thanks to the AMA’s partnership with MAD Maps, AMA members can purchase MAD Maps at a 20 percent discount off the regular advertised price.
