With its mid-engine design, the Kawasaki Teryx presents a challenge when it comes to keeping riders cool. Design Engineering, Inc. offers a solution with its DEI Powersports Heat Control Kit for 2014 to 2022 Teryx two-seat models.
This kit is designed to reduce radiant heat coming through the center console, interior panels, under the driver’s seat and into the cargo bed of the popular side-by-side. The snug-fitting, CNC-cut pieces are made from 10-millimeter dimpled aluminum with a glass fiber insulation and aggressive self-adhesive backing.
Included is an insulated mat that replaces the stock rubber engine cover inside the console, an insulated line sleeving to block heat from the cooling lines on the driver’s side and an insulated panel that installs under the bed to block heat from the exhaust system radiating up into the cargo area.
“This comprehensive kit will make a noticeable difference in heat and give riders a cooler, more comfortable ride,” said John Gabriel of DEI. “It also reduces noise and vibration for an enhanced riding experience.”
Long-lasting, durable materials block heat buildup in the interior, and no modifications are needed for installation.
