Jerez MotoGP Marks 200th Career Start for Jorge Lorenzo

This weekend at Jerez, will be the 4th round of the 2014 MotoGP season. HJC rider Jorge Lorenzo has a lot going for him this weekend. Jerez in front of his home crowd will mark Lorenzo's 200th career start. He will be the youngest in MotoGP history to reach the double century landmark.

After taking an early lead at last week’s Argentina race, HJC rider Jorge Lorenzo finishes on the podium for the first time this season, with a 3rd place finish. After the race Jorge stated, “This was the best and sweetest third position in my MotoGP career.”

 

This weekend at Jerez, will be the 4th round of the 2014 MotoGP season. HJC rider Jorge Lorenzo has a lot going for him this weekend. Jerez in front of his home crowd will mark Lorenzo’s 200th career start. He will be the youngest in MotoGP history to reach the double century landmark. In addition to his 200th career start, Jorge Lorenzo will be celebrating his 27th birthday.

 

To celebrate Lorenzo’s great accomplishment of 200 career race starts and his 27th birthday, he will be debuting his special edition “Ghost Fuera” helmet. The special edition helmet was designed by HJC helmet designer Tae Lee in the U.S.A. It has all of the signature logos and trademarks of Jorge Lorenzo current replica helmet with a twist.

The boards of the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA), and the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA) voted unanimously to appoint Scott Schloegel as acting president and CEO of the associations. The interim leadership was selected to ensure a seamless transition as the associations’ search committee continues to conduct a comprehensive review of the position of president and CEO, and a subsequent search to replace outgoing President and CEO Erik Pritchard.
