ICON Alloys announced its first wheel designed specifically to meet the needs of the powersports market, the UTV-Spec Compression wheel. Currently available in a 15×7-in. size with fitments for the most popular side-by-side models, the UTV-Spec Compression offers an aggressive look with a true beadlock for improved safety and durability in difficult off-road conditions.
The ICON Alloys Compression wheel has long been a popular option for Jeeps, trucks and SUVs thanks to its optimized fitment and bold styling. Staying true to ICON’s performance roots, the new UTV-Spec Compression wheel has been designed to add style and improve the handling of UTV’s with its application-specific backspacing for improved track width and suspension clearance. Upgrading to a beadlock wheel like the UTV-Spec Compression also allows UTV owners to run extremely low tire pressures, enlarging the tire’s footprint and compliance on sand, rocks, or extremely rough terrain.
ICON engineered the UTV-Spec Compression wheel with enthusiasts in mind, featuring a knurled beadlock ring with Grade 10.9 hardware to allow for tires to be run at low pressures without the risk of de-beading. To prevent damage from trail debris, the valve stem has been strategically placed in between the spokes for enhanced protection.
The UTV-Spec Compression wheel has a 1,600-pound load rating, making it one of the strongest options on the UTV-wheel market. It is available in a 15×7-in. size with a 5+2 (38 millimeter) backspace and 4×136 bolt pattern as well as a 5+2 (38 millimeter) or 4+3 (12 millimeter) backspace and 4×156 bolt pattern to fit most popular UTV models. ICON strategically develops its wheels to maximize wheel position, handling and performance specific to each application.
The Compression is available in Satin Black, Bronze and Titanium finishes with black beadlock bolts.
