High End Products Inc., the Santa Ana, Calif.-based manufacturer of the Danny Gray line of motorcycle seats, and AIRHAWK of Belleville, Ill. have announced the formation of a new joint venture High End Seating Systems. The new venture will produce premium, custom designed seating featuring AIRHAWK’s comfort shape-fitting technology.
“Since we launched the AIRHAWK family of products for motorcycles at Daytona Bike Week in 1997, we’ve received tons of positive testimonials from motorcyclists on the AIRHAWK’s effectiveness in eliminating ‘numb buns’ making long rides more comfortable,” said Steve Peyton, director of AIRHAWK sales. “But sometimes those accolades came with ‘if only it fit in with the design of my bike.’ So I made it my mission to find the perfect partner to meet this prevalent need.
“The people at High End Products just got it. They clearly recognized the opportunity this joint venture offered. Their outstanding custom design, quality components and experience in providing seats to the major motorcycle household names made them the perfect partner.”
Lars Rouland, CEO at High End Products Inc., agrees that the partnership is a great fit. “The two companies share a quality culture that ensures there will be no compromises in the seats we provide to dealers, OEMs and end users. I think we have a true example of synergy here: one plus one equals greater than two. We’re excited about the near- and long-term opportunities with the joint venture.”
Initial feedback from dealers has been enthusiastic, as they see two proven brands and suppliers working together to fill a need that they, too, have long recognized. Plus, it adds another tier to their product offerings.
The new company, High End Seating Systems, will be headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif., and will leverage more than 200,000 square feet of combined manufacturing capacity currently at High End Products.
A number of new product offerings are slated for introduction in 2011.
