Helmet House Adds Three Employees to Apparel Business Management Team

Joe Parr, previously of Western Power Sports and Ansai Sportswear, will serve as outside sales and field training manager. Zane Steele, formerly of Del Amo Motorsports and Long Beach Motorsports, will serve as apparel market sales analyst. Tenured sales executive Eli Whitney will serve as consumer and events manager.

Helmet House is strengthening its apparel business management team with the addition of two new employees and a move of a tenured employee.

Joe Parr has been named outside sales and field training manager. Parr will assist the Helmet House sales force with dealer product training and sales support. He has been involved in the powersports industry for more than 20 years, with experience in dealership operations, powersports distributor sales and time as a manufacturer’s representative. Parr has previously worked at Western Power Sports, Helmet House and Ansai Sportswear, in addition to several powersports dealerships. He will be based in Dallas.

Zane Steele comes aboard Helmet House’s team as apparel market sales analyst. Steele has a background in dealership sales and retail management and will be responsible for strategic product sales analysis, as well as executing sales and marketing initiatives. Steele has worked in retail operations and management positions at Del Amo Motorsports and Long Beach Motorsports in Southern California. He will based at Helmet House headquarters in Calabasas Hills, Calif.

Rounding up this trio is the move of Eli Whitney, one of the company’s most tenured sales executives, to the role of consumer and events manager. Whitney will execute the Helmet House event marketing plan while interacting with riders and consumers around the country. Whitney has more than 37 years of sales experience at nearly every level position in the Helmet House, and brings comprehensive product knowledge, riding experience and customer expertise combined with a passion for interacting with riders and rally participants. He will be responsible for continuing to expand the Helmet House focus on motorcycle events around the United States.

“With our strong growth in 2012 across all major product lines, we feel that expanding our dealer and consumer support is absolutely key to enhancing the position of our apparel and gear brands as the market leaders they are,” said Bob Miller, president and co-founder of Helmet House. “I am confident these three gentlemen will be vital to the continued growth of these Helmet House brands, to the benefit of our entire dealer network.”
