Held USA Renews Partnership with Penguin Motorcycle Racing School

Held USA has renewed partnership with Eric Wood and Penguin Roadracing School. The instructors will be outfitted with Held’s Titan Evo, Phantom II and waterproof Race-Tex motorcycle gloves. Students of the school will also be able to test the gloves on the track.

“We are very pleased to renew our partnership with Held USA and are proud to promote Held gloves and products at Penguin schools,” says Eric Wood, president of Penguin Roadracing School. “We have personally tested this product in crashes up to 160 mph and have never had a Held glove fail. Claiming the title of the oldest motorcycle roadracing school in the country, the Penguin Roadracing School is in its 41st year of helping riders learn and master necessary riding skills. Welcoming new riders, experienced racers and everyone in between, the school offers comprehensive courses throughout New Hampshire and Connecticut.

“Our partnership with Eric and Penguin Roadracing School is a great way for us to help educate new and experienced riders alike about the importance of wearing quality safety gear,” says Held USA’s Head of Marketing, Sarah Schilke. “The Penguin School is a top notch organization, and we’re proud to provide them with gloves and other Held products to put to the test on the track.”

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame recently named Marilyn Stemp and Steve Piehl to its board of directors.

Stemp is a pioneering figure in the motorcycle industry, founding IronWorks Magazine with her late husband, Dennis, and becoming the first female editor of a nationally circulated, mainstream motorcycle magazine. She also revived their trade magazine, Iron Trader News; edits the monthly Kiwi Indian News; contributes to several powersports media outlets; and is the founding editor of Sturgis Rider Daily. Stemp is a noted editor and writer of several motorcycle-focused books. Her consistent support for charitable efforts in the industry include the annual Biker Belles Celebration, Las Vegas BikeFest and as campaign chair for the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum’s development plan in 2014. She co-founded the Flying Piston charity events taking place in Daytona and Sturgis each year and is a National Ambassador for All Kids Bike. Stemp was inducted into both the Las Vegas Motorcycle Hall of Fame and the Sturgis Museum's Hall of Fame in 2018, and in 2022 she was recognized as one of the Top 100 Women in Powersports by DealerNews.
