Every year, MDA honors one of its outstanding national partners that truly makes MDA’s work possible. This year, Harley-Davidson Director of Government Affairs Ed Moreland accepted a special award for Harley-Davidson’s ongoing contributions to MDA’s research program and was presented with a white coat by MDA President and CEO Lynn Vos and MDA Chairman of the Board R. Rodney Howell, M.D. The coat serves as a symbol of Harley-Davidson’s commitment to funding treatments and cures for neuromuscular diseases over the last 38 years.
The Harley-Davidson family of riders, dealers, HOG members, customers, suppliers and employees has demonstrated its commitment to helping MDA and MDA families live longer, stronger lives. The iconic American company has raised more than $103 million in support of MDA’s mission through various events and programs, including group rides, dealer events and MDA’s largest fundraising events, “Black N Blue Ball” dinner auctions. Thousands of Harley riders also volunteer each summer at MDA camps across the country.
The 2018 MDA Clinical Conference was held Monday, March 12 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA. It is the preeminent gathering of MDA Care Center teams from across the country, as well as a growing number of medical and scientific experts from government, academia and industry.
