Find It Now (FIN) GPS Security has announced the successful recovery of a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. FIN received a call regarding the possible theft of a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja. The owner of the Ninja was at work and mentioned that the address where the FIN last reported was nowhere near his home, which is where the motorcycle was last parked. The FIN theft recovery team was able to pinpoint the exact location of the motorcycle. It was determined that his motorcycle was in fact stolen and on the move.
The FIN theft recovery team tracked the motorcycle’s every move while the customer called the local authorities. The thief made his way to different areas in Maryland, which included stops in Great Landover, Maryland, and near Washington, D.C. The motorcycle finally came to a stop in a wooded area near a residence in Capitol Heights, Maryland, where the FIN reported a power disconnect. The local authorities were immediately dispatched to this location. Even though the Ninja’s battery was disconnected, the FIN theft recovery team and the customer were able to keep monitoring and track the motorcycle using the built-in backup battery.
The officers arrived at the location where the FIN had last reported. Given the accuracy of the FIN and satellite images, the officers were able to find the Kawasaki tucked away in between some large trees and sizable bushes. No arrests were made as the thief was not at the scene of recovery. The case remains ongoing.
