FIN GPS Security recovered a 2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
A FIN customer was alerted with a motion detection text while he was at work late one evening. Upon logging into the FIN app, the customer performed a manual locate and realized that the Kawasaki was on the move. He called the FIN 24/7 theft and recovery line, followed by his local police. As the police attempted to dispatch a unit to assist with the recovery of the Ninja, the FIN recovery team continued to track the motorcycle throughout the night. The Ninja continued to move locations and, during one of its many movements, the FIN reported a power disconnection. The recovery team and the customer were still able to track the motorcycle due to the built-in back-up battery of the FIN.
The motorcycle finally appeared to come to a stop by a wooded area in Richmond, Virginia. The customer, along with Chesterfield Police, arrived at the scene and found the motorcycle underneath a pile of used tires and leaves. No arrests were made, as the thief was not present at the scene of recovery; the investigation remains ongoing.
