Dunlop Tire has been the tire of choice for FactoryONE Mototrials for many years and, for the first time, is the tire of choice for the FactoryONE Sherco enduro team. This support brings a full-scale solution for Sherco and Scorpa motorcycles in the U.S. The team will be traveling all over the country showing what its bikes and tires can do in the toughest conditions!
“We have won more than 25 national championship number one plates, including Pat Smage’s 13 championships on the Dunlop D803GP front and rear tires,” said Team President Ron Sallman. “I am thankful to Dunlop for the relationship that we have formed over that time on the trials side. We are excited to announce that we will be running Dunlop with our enduro team in 2023 and beyond, bringing us a one-stop solution with the best brand in off-road racing for both of our teams.”
“I have been using Dunlop tires for almost as long as I have been riding trials! They hook up great on a huge variety of terrain and hold up to a crazy amount of abuse,” said team rider Pat Smage. “Traction and feel is huge in trials, so tires are very important. I’m looking forward to riding Dunlop’s for many more years and am happy to see them on board with the enduro team as well.”
Cody Webb and Cooper Abbott will be racing the next round of FIM SuperEnduro on the MX53 front tire and EN91 rear. As mentioned above, the trials team will continue with D803GP that Pat Smage has secured all 13 of his AMA Championships on.
“I am really excited about being back on Dunlops again. I’ve had so much success with them in the past, and they are a brand that sets the bar. I am looking forward to getting them back underneath me,” said Webb.
“We are excited to continue our support of the FactoryONE Sherco team and know the enduro team will perform at its highest level with our Geomax full-line of off-road tires,” said Brian Fleck. Dunlop Motorcycle Tires manager of technical support. “Cody, Cooper and Pat are all riders who can push the Dunlop tires to the max and show their true potential.”
