Brass Balls Bobbers and Choppers introduced their latest 2011 digger motorcycle, the Rocketeer, at the 2010 AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building. The Rocketeer placed fourth in the production class.
The central theme of the retro bobber is built around a hand-fabricated gas tank with monochromatic graphics applied on the fender and tank. The Rocketeer takes art deco design cues from the 1930s and ’40s and integrates them into a fresh interpretation on the classic bobber.
"Since the release of the Rocketeer, we have been gratified by the feedback from the enthusiast community," said Dar Holdsworth, Brass Balls’ BossMan. "The design, style and performance have been a hit."
The illustrated Rocketeer book is about a superhero created by writer/illustrator Dave Stevens. The character first appeared in 1982. The Rocketeer began as a comic, then a movie and now is a custom production Bobber.
The Brass Balls’ Rocketeer is built with a 40 degrees rake and 1" stretch that includes a Crazy Horse 100" engine, Ceramic Coated D&D Exhaust, 41mm Meanstreet front end, Excel 4 piston brakes with Wilwood rotors, Inverted MotoX bars, Leroy Thompson grips, BDL transmission and Wire Plus gauge machined into trees.
