Dan Lawlor was named the new director, research and statistics at the Motorcycle Industry Council and will lead the work on one of the association’s most important member benefits.
Lawlor’s extensive background in the automotive industry with marketing research firm J.D. Power, and his 25-plus-year experience in market research and consumer insights, will be a huge asset to the association.
Lawlor worked for J.D. Power in several U.S. offices a total of nearly 20 years, beginning as a research associate to eventually becoming director of research operations and the project management office. He is an expert in designing and conducting complex syndicated and proprietary studies. He also led the launch of sales/service proprietary tracking programs for clients in the U.S. and 14 European countries.
Lawlor has presented study findings to Fortune 100 companies and at J.D. Power’s automotive roundtables. Most recently, he was a market research manager at the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Lawlor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge.
