The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum, in Hammondsport, NY, will host a display of classic motorcycles from 1904 through the 1970s. In addition to the regular motorcycle show, this year’s special theme is “Hodaka Therapy,” focusing on the classic Japanese import from the 1960s and 1970s.
The free Curtiss Classic Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet will take place Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Attendees will see an array of vintage motorcycles and motorcycle parts from around the world. The display will include the 1907 motorcycle designed and built by Glenn Curtiss, which set a world-speed record traveling 136.4 miles per hour.
Other event festivities include swap-meet vendors, food, raffles and music.
The Glenn Curtiss Museum is located at 8419 State Route 54 in Hammondsport, NY.
The event is presented by Odd Ball Old Dog Cycles and the Curtiss Museum. Guests interested in showing a bike or vending at the event can call Bob Harris at 585-610-8721.
