The PE400 rearsets that Niccolò Canepa will be using in the 2014 SBK World Championship, fitted on the Althea Racing Team’s Ducati 1199 SBK Evo, are the forerunners of the new RPS product line. The line caters to customers who want to get their hands (and feet) on the same technology used by the champion riders ripping up the SBK World series tracks.
RPS stands for Racing Producing System, intimating how each detail and technical feature has been selected and fine-tuned based on experience CNC Racing has gained by working with the top-performing teams and riders from the SBK series in recent years.
The light weight of the AL 7075 T6 alloy is teamed with the strength provided by steel screws and toughness of the carbon used for accessories. Proving that this is a “no compromise” product, the PE400 rearsets come in just one setup to suit reverse shifting. The knurled footpeg folds up and can be locked inplace with a steel spring pin. The rearsets boast an impressive five footrest positions and the brake and gear levers pivot on double ball bearings. The tip of the brakelever is also a knurled and folding model, while the gear lever tip can turn as well as fold.
To provide even more opportunity for customizing, additional brake and gear lever adjustments are possible along slides. No detail has been left to chance and for the heel guard, CNC Racing has chosen carbon for the best of both worlds: lightweight and good looks.
PE400 rearsets from the RPS line have a mount for attaching a brake light sensor and another for fitting a workshop stand. All rearset screws and bolts are made from AISI 304 steel. PE400 rearsets for the Ducati 1199 Panigale retail for €675.00.
