Charles Attig Wins Beta Motorcycle in 2016 Beta AMA National Dual Sport Series

Charles Attig, of Newark, Del., is the winner of a Beta dual sport motorcycle, awarded to one participant in the 2016 Beta AMA National Dual Sport Series sweepstakes.

Charles Attig, of Newark, Del., is the winner of a Beta dual sport motorcycle, awarded to one participant in the 2016 Beta AMA National Dual Sport Series sweepstakes.

“I just spoke with Mr. Attig yesterday, and he sounds super excited to have won a new Beta,” said Beta USA Marketing Manager Tim Pilg. “His current ride is a 2008, so this should be a great upgrade in his iron horse stable. All of us at Beta USA are equally pleased, not only for the winner but also to be a part of this growing series. It is good to see the series grow as dual sport riding is becoming a great riding alternative to racing, not to mention a great way to meet new people. Beta looks ahead to many years in their continued partnership with the AMA and hopes to offer riders demo rides at many of the dual sport [events] very soon.”

In the sweepstakes, individuals received one automatic entry for each 2016 AMA Beta National Dual Sport Series event they participated in.

“This is completely unexpected,” said Attig, 43. “I had no idea I was even entered. I’m ecstatic to win a motorcycle, that’s for sure! I love the AMA and everything it does for motorcycle riders.”

In 2016, Attig rode the Hammer Run event, a round in the Beta AMA National Dual Sport Series organized by the Tri-County Sportsmen Motorcycle Club. He is a member of the Delaware Enduro Riders and has been riding off-road since he was 15.

Attig can choose a 2017 Beta 430 RS or a 500 RS.

Bikes in the Beta RS line feature a liquid cooled fuel-injected, four-valve single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with an electric start, back-up kick starter and cooling fan kit www.betausa.com.

Other prizes awarded to series participants include a set of Moose Racing gear (Expedition pants, Expedition jacket and XC1 gloves), a custom seat from Seat Concepts, a Sena 10C communications system, and two pairs of Sidi Crossfire boots.

Michael Dore of Wappinger Falls, N.Y., won the Seat Concepts prize. Alex Angle of Oshkosh, Wis., and Jordan Ruff of Logan, Ohio, each won a pair of Sidi boots. The Sena 10C system went to Jared McKeon of Rocklin, Calif. The Moose Racing gear was awarded to Randy Marble of St. Paul, Texas.

The 2017 AMA National Dual Sport Series, sponsored by Beta for the third consecutive year, boasts 20 two-day events. Supporting sponsors of the series include ADVMoto, Seat Concepts, Sena and Sidi.

For a chance to win a Beta dual sport motorcycle this year, participate in one of the 2017 Beta AMA National Dual Sport Series events. More information about the series can be viewed at www.americanmotorcyclist.com/Riding/Dual-Sport-Riding.
