Aprilia Brings Tuareg Experience Back to Baja, Adds New Mexico for 2023

The Aprilia event equips motorcyclists with a Tuareg 660 for one-of-a-kind guided tour experiences through legendary Baja California, Mexico, and New Mexico.

Aprilia USA has announced the return of the Tuareg Experience to Baja California, Mexico, March 12-18, 2023 and New Mexico Aug. 9-15, 2023. Each adventure tour spans the course of several days and offers motorcyclists an immersive experience across asphalt and off-road terrain aboard a Tuareg 660 through some of the most scenic oceanside and desert landscapes of the Baja Peninsula and New Mexico.

The Baja Tuareg Experience starts in San Diego and, taking the scenic route across the border, motorcyclists will get the opportunity to flex the on- and off-road capabilities of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 to its fullest. Over the course of six days and 1,000 miles, riders will travel through Ensenada, San Quinten, Catavina, Bahia de Los Angeles and San Felipe, Mexico.

The New Mexico Tuareg Experience starts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and continues on with stops in Taos Ski Valley, Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and Jasper, Colorado. The adventure includes both on and off-road riding, and riders will get a true taste of the Rocky Mountains with elevations reaching 11,000 feet, accented with breathtaking mountain views.

These unique experiential events include everything participants will need to make the most of the trip, including a guide, meals, lodging and rental of a Tuareg 660.

There is no better way to start an adventure than swinging a leg over the bike that redefined adventure itself. The Tuareg 660 is equipped with cutting-edge technology to increase the comfort and maneuverability for any adventurer. Its suspension is designed with both on- and off-road adventures in mind, utilizing a 43-millimeter fork and progressive linkage monoshock, which both feature long, 240-millimeter travel to deliver the utmost in traction at a variety of speeds. The frame’s centralized weight distribution allows the newly redesigned parallel twin engine to put the majority of its 80 horsepower directly to the ground, offering the rider responsive throttle and power to tackle any terrain the Baja Peninsula and New Mexico experiences have to offer.

Tour participation is limited, and riders should expect to ride most of each day through a variety of roads and environments. Aprilia encourages experienced motorcyclists with a minimum intermediate capability of experience in dual-sport environments to join. The technically challenging routes of the Tuareg Experience will be rewarded with picturesque views and unforgettable memories.
