Ammar Bazzaz, founder of Bazzaz, Inc., and former factory race team
consultant and crew chief, is set to be deeply involved in tuning the
Michael Jordan Motorsports #23 Jordan Brand Suzuki and #54 National
Guard Suzuki for the 2012 season.
Starting in the off season, Jordan Motorsports entered into an agreement with Ammar Bazzaz and technicians from Bazzaz, Inc., to tune the teams’ electronics in a serious effort to outcompete factory Superbikes in AMA Pro Road Racing this season. A former researcher for Harvard University and professor of university mathematics, Ammar Bazzaz began pioneering race tuning technology as electronic fuel injection became prevalent in AMA Superbike.
He originally built his career in racing as a data specialist and crew chief for Yoshimura Suzuki, helping Mat Mladin to his first three AMA Superbike championship seasons. He is presently working with riders Ben Bostrom and Roger Lee Hayden, and can be found at the track with crew and laptops, eager to repeat past successes..
