AMA Pro Racing Announces New Structure For Board of Managers

AMA Pro Racing's Board of Managers is a group that collectively brings an approximate 150 years of experience in motorsports to the organization. As part of the restructuring, Chris Harris transitions from the board and three additional motorsports executives have been added.

AMA Pro Racing has announced a new structure for the company’s Board of Managers, a group that collectively brings an approximate 150 years of experience in motorsports to the organization.

 

As part of the restructuring, Chris Harris will transition from the board to focus on his role as outside legal counsel, maintaining AMA Pro Racing as a client for legal matters. Three additional motorsports executives have been added to the Board of Managers.

 

AMA Pro Racing’s Board of Managers is comprised of the following:

– David Atlas, Chief Business Development Officer, AMA Pro Racing

– Tom Bledsoe, Vice President, Administration, NASCAR

– George Silbermann, Vice President, Regional and Touring Series, NASCAR

– Todd Wilson, Vice President, Finance and Governance, NASCAR

– Mark Raffauf, Series Director, Ferrari Challenge & Lamborghini, IMSA

 

The 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing and AMA Pro Flat Track seasons will begin in March at Daytona International Speedway as part of the DAYTONA 200 Week. DAYTONA Flat Track will play host to the AMA Pro Flat Track season opener on March 13-14 as the series kicks off the season with a doubleheader on the quarter-mile lime rock track located outside Daytona International Speedway’s West banking.

 

AMA Pro Road Racing is scheduled to take to Daytona’s legendary road course on March 13-15, closing out DAYTONA 200 Week with the 73rd running of the DAYTONA 200 on Saturday afternoon, March 15.

The boards of the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA), and the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA) voted unanimously to appoint Scott Schloegel as acting president and CEO of the associations. Schloegel and Sanchez, whose appointments are effective immediately, will also continue to serve in their current roles as senior vice president of government relations and vice president of operations respectively. The interim leadership was selected to ensure a seamless transition as the associations’ search committee continues to conduct a comprehensive review of the position of president and CEO, and a subsequent search to replace outgoing President and CEO Erik Pritchard.
