“I’ve been a motorcyclist for 47 years,” said Anderson, 59, an AMA member since 2002. “I stay in the AMA mostly for the information obtained via the member magazine, such as legislation affecting motorcyclists, E15 gasoline, etc. I also enjoy the ride stories and the pictures of vintage motorcycles.”
“Congratulations to Richard Anderson on winning the Suzuki Boulevard M109R,” said Steve Bortolamedi, communications manager for Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. “You’re going to love this motorcycle. We look forward to reading your ride stories in American Motorcyclist magazine. And thanks to the AMA for the great work they do, increasing our riding opportunities, and keeping us well informed through the process.”
The Suzuki was one of two motorcycles awarded in the sweepstakes, along with four Tom-Tom GPS units, a Cardo Systems/Scala Rider G9 communications set, a Shark Kage ramp and 12 Guardian Weatherall Plus motorcycle covers.
The Suzuki Boulevard M109R is a 1,783cc, liquid-cooled V-twin cruiser that is based on an advanced chassis that can handle short trips or cross-country adventures. The M109R’s engine is tuned to churn out massive torque from idle to redline, and the exhaust produces a throaty, aggressive tone.
The sweepstakes was open to all AMA members who joined or renewed during 2015. Independent auditing and accounting firm Rea & Associates Inc. administered the sweepstakes.
The AMA Member Sweepstakes returns for 2016 with more great prizes. Those joining or renewing their AMA memberships between Jan. 1, 2016, and Dec. 31, 2016, are automatically entered to win any of these 20 prizes:
