The American Motorcyclist Association congratulates Marvin Musquin, who won the 2015 AMA Supercross 250SX East title at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on Saturday, April 25.

Musquin, who races for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, finished first in New Jersey, collecting a total of 194 points for the season, 23 points ahead of the second-place rider.

“AMA Supercross is one of the world’s most demanding sports — for both racer and machine,” said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. “An AMA Supercross title is a true testament to a rider’s talent, commitment and drive. It’s my pleasure to congratulate Marvin Musquin on his championship.”

Musquin, from La Reole, France, is a two-time Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme MX2 World Motocross Champion. He came to the United States to compete in 2011. He finished third overall in 250SX West competition in 2012 and second in 250SX East competition in 2013. He sat out the 2014 AMA Supercross season with injury.

The 2015 AMA Supercross 450SX title was locked up by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Ryan Dungey at the Houston round on April 11. Star Racing Yamaha’s Cooper Webb also clinched the AMA Supercross 250SX West title at that round.

The final round of the 2015 AMA Supercross season will be May 2 in Las Vegas. In addition to the premier 450SX class, the round will include the Dave Coombs Sr. Memorial East/West Shootout, which will feature the best 250SX class riders from the East and West Regions.
