Akrapovič Features Racing Technology of Tomorrow

Akrapovič has always been about setting trends, and this year’s EICMA again demonstrated everything that the Slovenian performance exhaust manufacturer stands for.

Akrapovič’s booth at this year’s EICMA show in Italy showcased The Racing Technology of Tomorrow.

Racing is very much in Akrapovič’s DNA, and the technology and materials used in competition are the same as those available on commercial products. This was highlighted at the stand with a unique collection of 2019 MotoGP bikes all equipped with Akrapovič exhaust systems, which demonstrated the ethos behind The Racing Technology of Tomorrow. The unstinting desire to create this link between racing and the end-user has carried Akrapovič to greater heights through its range of innovative and appealing products, many of which were on display at the booth.

Akrapovič has always been about setting trends, and this year’s EICMA again demonstrated everything that the Slovenian performance exhaust manufacturer stands for. Its range of high- performance, high-quality, durable exhaust systems – with a unique sound and innovative designs, all aligned to deliver optimized performance and improved throttle response – are second to none and are a must-see for connoisseurs of excellence.

A separate area of the booth generated great interest as the show opened because Akrapovič showcased Durability Reimagined. This stand-alone, special corner of the stand was dedicated to the introduction of Akrapovič’s new-generation muffler shapes aimed directly at the Adventure bike market. Created to provide even better durability in all riding conditions, the new mufflers are an evolution in exhaust system design, taking it to a new level. These concept exhaust systems herald the future direction for Akrapovič in an ever-expanding market.

Firmly established as the leader in the premium exhaust system market and an innovative force in this sector, Akrapovič is all about high-performance, high-quality, state-of-the-art design and durability, all complemented by the unique Akrapovič soundtrack. Through the use of race-developed materials such as titanium, super-alloys, and carbon composites – all originally used in the racing environment – Akrapovič has consistently set new industry standards. Thorough testing procedures are in place to ensure the customer gets the best products, and being ready to adapt to changes in the market makes Akrapovič stand out from the crowd. The company is already fully prepared for the upcoming Euro 5 type approval. This is demonstrated at this year’s EICMA stand, with fully-trained staff on hand to guide you through the world of Akrapovič.

The Akrapovič stand had a stunning collection of MotoGP machines on display, and riders from MotoGP, WorldSBK, MXGP, and other series visited the booth throughout the duration. There was also a comprehensive collection of products to see, including – for the first time at EICMA – new exhaust systems for the BMW C 400 X/GT, Vespa GTS 300, and Yamaha Ténéré 700, and the latest-generation Yamaha YZF-R1, plus exhaust systems for 2020 off-road machines, including for the Yamaha YZ450F and Honda CRF250R. There was also more for you to see, such as the new options for exhaust system parts for the BMW R 1250 GS and a new range of exhaust systems for Triumph Modern Classics, with an exhaust system for the Triumph Speed Twin. There was also the chance to experience the Durability Dyno Robot, which features a BMW S 1000 RR. This innovative mechanical device has taken Akrapovič on to new levels of durability, and it created a huge amount of interest on the first day.

EICMA is an important event on the Akrapovič calendar, and it gives everyone that visits the show the opportunity to get up close and personal with the company’s products and innovative ideas, all in a convivial and appealing setting.
