After a jaunt in Las Vegas in 2018, AIMExpo presented by Nationwide returns to the Midwest for 2019. Scheduled for Sept. 26-29, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH, AIMExpo will bring together industry, media, dealers and consumers in a single arena.
New this year, AIMExpo will highlight the exciting and diverse lifestyles represented by the modern industry that highlight the culture and experiences of riders that affect buying decisions. This will be more experiential, with lifestyle features in the exhibit hall, allowing dealers and consumers to immerse themselves in the different segments that powersports has to offer.
The expo floor plan will be laid out to showcase the main powersports lifestyle groups. The Alley is dedicated to street, urban and sport riders, The Camp will focus on two- and four-wheel off-road and adventure enthusiasts, while The Shop is where visitors will find the V-twin, cruiser and custom segments. These featured neighborhoods will allow visitors to easily identify their areas of special interest and provide a more immersive experience on the show floor.
Each neighborhood will include industry experts and spokespeople on selected lifestyles to host discussions that will help contribute to a dealer’s success, custom and concept vehicles, new product showcases, music and specialty concessions.
As the side-by-side segment continues to see major growth, the show will highlight four-wheelers. On hand will be product showcases, featured parts, accessories and apparel, spotlighting the latest and greatest from the ATV and side-by-side segment.
AIMExpo Outdoors! will host more than 400,000 sq. ft. of outdoor space where thousands of street demo rides from major manufacturers will be offered. Demo rides are open to the public with a motorcycle endorsement.
Made in America is a new area that is dedicated to celebrating the ingenuity of American companies at the show.
The Cycle Volta E-Pavilion, fueled by Bonnier Motorcycle Group, will focus on all things electric, from bicycles to motorcycles and highlight the technology and fun behind the e-bike, micro-mobility and electric landscape.
Dealer Seminars will return to provide two days of free training to powersports industry professionals. Three areas of expertise that will be discussed include powering profits, sales and marketing and leadership. Dealer roundtables will be returning to connect dealers who are facing similar challenges and will provide opportunities to learn from others who are like-minded.
