National champions from all motorcycle and all-terrain-vehicle racing disciplines sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association will be recognized at the 2015 AMA Championship Banquet on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at The Hyatt Regency in Columbus, Ohio.

Competitors who placed first, second and third in an AMA National Championship Series and at an AMA Grand Championship event will be honored on stage. All who wish to celebrate the 2015 racing season are invited to attend.

The Hyatt Regency is a full-service hotel and conference center in the Greater Columbus Convention Center at 350 North High St. in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It is less than 25 minutes from AMA headquarters and the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in nearby Pickerington, Ohio. To register to attend, visit www.americanmotorcyclist.com/racing/racingbanquet.aspx.

“The AMA Championship Banquet is like no other year-end celebration,” said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. “At this event, competitors in disciplines as diverse as desert racing, ATV woods racing, trials and ice racing are honored for being the country’s best. Whether you are a racer or a fan, our annual celebration of national champions is something you won’t forget.”

Class champions will receive medals and AMA No. 1 plates at the banquet, while second- and third-place finishers also will receive awards. The winners of special annual awards, such as the AMA Grand Championship Athlete of the Year and the AMA National Championship Series Athlete of the Year, will be announced as well.

“In addition, our annual banquet is where we highlight AMA-chartered organizers and others who promote motorcycling,” Massey said. “We select outstanding clubs, promoters, media representatives and all-around ambassadors of the sport to be singled out for their contributions.”

The program includes dinner, door prizes, a reception and a bike show, as well as the drawing for a 1986 Honda CR250R being raffled to benefit the non-profit AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. Attendees also are invited to visit a free open house at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame the day before the banquet, on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.
