Immediately after RESONAR made presentations to over 16 helmet manufacturers at 2022’s Intermot and EICMA motorcycle shows in Europe, demonstrating how effective acoustic solutions can bring safety to the roads and a competitive edge to closed-circuit racing, the team headed “Down Under” to the 14th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion. RESONAR’s team of Felipe Morales, acoustic inventor, and CEO partner Mr. Michel Wehe presented to international safety officials how RESONAR’s affordable bat-8D technology re-connects motorcycle riders’ ears and eyes for a more enhanced ride while improving awareness of peripheral threats in traffic or on the racetrack.
Full-faced and ¾-coverage helmets are becoming more and more popular globally, but of course, they cover the ears and significantly reduce the ability for the rider to detect the “direction and distance” of sounds, which can be threats in heavy road or racing traffic. The World Health Organization and Public Health Association of Australia sponsored the conference attended by an academic audience of doctors, scientists, transport ministers, PhDs, Red Cross representatives, traffic safety officials and Bloomberg Foundation researchers, who were completely impressed such a small team had come to Australia to provide a “unicorn-like presentation.”
Morales stated, “We were treated like ‘paradigm shifters’ because no safety leaders in attendance had ever thought how hearing is affected by protective motorcycle helmets covering the ears. Plus, no one there had ever seen a team present such a simple, incredibly low-priced, non-electrical solution.”
RESONAR CEO Wehe added, “Most presentations at these non-commercialized conferences introduce a new problem or an expensive mechanized solution to known traffic issues, but rarely does one team present both a new problem and an affordable solution simultaneously! It simply hardly ever happens as it did for us.”
In another part of the world, Team RESONAR products will be used by over 100 motorcycle-mounted traffic agents in Colombia (GUARDAS DE TRANSITO DE COLOMBIA) starting early in 2023. In addition, the innovative technology company will establish partnerships with several international streets and off-road helmet manufacturers in Q1 2023.
