Wolverine has introduced its newest addition to the 1000 Mile Collection, the Dylan Moto Boot, designed for motorcycle riders and available now at wolverine.com. The USA made boots are based on the original 1000 Mile silhouette while incorporating functional design details for riders of both modern and classic bikes.
“We wanted to design a boot that took the original 1000 Mile style and increased its strength for motorcycle riders. We purposefully designed a boot with features specifically for riding, including extra leather on the vamp to protect against wear from shifting over time, and a Vibram lug outsole that aggressively grips the roadway while stopped,” says Roger Huard, vice president of product development for the Wolverine brand.
The Dylan Moto boot complements the original 1000 Mile vintage boot style with additional features to make it extra tough and functional. A Vibram rubber lug outsole and time-tested Goodyear welt construction are utilized for superior traction and strength, and also allow the boot to be resoled. The outsole is oil and slip resistant, providing excellent grip and peace of mind. Additional leather on both vamps ensures the boots provide ultimate durability for riding both modern and classic motorcycles, regardless of whether the shifter is on the right or left of the bike. The boots are made from premium, jet black Horween Chromexcel leather and have a leather footbed for comfort while wearing both on and off the road.
The Wolverine 1000 Mile boot was first introduced in 1914 and is known for its classic style and quality craftsmanship. Today, this archival pattern is recreated as part of the Wolverine 1000 Mile Collection. Each pair is handcrafted with trusted manufacturing methods including Goodyear welt construction and uses durable, high quality leathers to ensure that every 1000 Mile boot can stand the test of time.
