Shoei RF-1200 Full-Face Helmet

Since its introduction with the RF-105, the Shoei RF series has evolved through the years with significant changes. Years of development, wind tunnel testing and on-track rider feedback have contributed greatly to this model’s growth, all leading up to the current Shoei RF-1200.

The helmet’s lightweight, multi-ply Matrix AIM+ shell construction is smaller and lighter yet stronger. It is compact and aerodynamic with attention paid towards wind-noise reduction without blocking road noises. Four shell sizes ensure custom fit. A dual-density EPS liner accommodates more compact design without compromising ventilation flow, and it includes breath guard and chin curtain.

The ventilation system offers superior ventilation as a result of rigorous wind-tunnel testing. A large lower three-position vent, three upper intake vents and four uniquely positioned upper exhaust outlet vents keep the rider cool.

The 3D Max-Dry System II Interior has center pad components that are shaped to match contours of rider’s head, allowing comfortable fit while maintaining firm hold for high-speed riding. The 3D-shaped cheek pads are available in multiple thicknesses for custom fit. The Max-Dry System II liner material quickly absorbs and dissipates sweat and moisture. An E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick-Release System) allows emergency medical personnel to easily remove cheek pads from injured rider’s helmet.

The RF-1200 also has a CWR-1 Shield System that features ribs along the top and bottom to improve rigidity and eliminate bending from wind pressure during opening and closing. Improved window beading features dual-layered, dual-lip construction that ensures windproof and waterproof seal with every closure, and a locking mechanism easily engages shield lock when fully closed. Also, a five-stage rotating dial allows fine-tuning of base plate for easy shield adjustments.
