After pioneering the use of gel inserts with the original Cool-Tush seat pads nearly a decade ago, Royal Riding has an expanded array of new seat fitments for older bikes this riding season. Just in time for the Sturgis Rally, the RodeMaster seats now have fitments for 1997-2007 and the entire range of RodeMaster seats get a cool new way of integrating the gel pads. All these innovations and a few more surprises are set for the Sturgis Rally in South Dakota, Aug. 3-12.
“After making their debut at the 2017 Sturgis Rally, we heard from many riders that they loved their older bikes, but really wanted the ability to ride farther in greater comfort,” said Royal Riding President, Rod Derifield. “We listened and have added 1997-2007 fitments to our popular RodeMaster seats. The long and the short of it is that RodeMaster seats now come in both long nose and a snub nose version so a rider can tailor their seat to a specific bike and tank. This variation results in the long nose being three-inches longer than the original Tour model, while the snub nose is three-inches shorter.”
In addition to the long and short of it, the RodeMaster seats are cooler than ever.
“It has been the hottest summer on record, so we have a cool new concept for all RodeMaster seats,” said Derifield. “We have taken customer feedback and added more top cushioning foam over the gel in all our seats to offer a little softer ride and add more space between the rider and gel.”
This air pocket results in less heat absorption when sitting in the sun and greater heat dissipation when in the saddle.
“The RodeMaster seats are ergonomically designed to give the rider maximum comfort by minimizing pressure with our hallmark tailbone and prostate relief channels,” said Royal Riding’s Eastern Region Manager Kim Kulman. “The extra layer of comfort foam combined with the negative airspace above the viscoelastic gel insert keeps the seats noticeably cooler so you can Ride Farther for longer periods of time. As is the case with all RodeMaster seats, the primary focus is to eliminate the pain.”
Top grain leather seating surfaces, durable fiberglass baseplates and powder coated hardware are among the premium components. All three versions of the Tour seats mount as easily as a stock seat, with no modifications.
