Nelson Rigg USA is implementing a minimum advertised price (MAP) policy that will go into effect Oct. 1, 2015. The new Nelson Rigg-USA MAP policy will allow a minimum advertised price of 10 percent below MSRP.

Under the new policy, retailers are free to sell products at any price but cannot advertise or promote any Nelson Rigg products at prices below the company’s stated minimum advertised price. Announcing this now will give dealers time to be in full compliance before the policy is enforced starting January 1, 2016 and avoid any actions that could lead to suspension and possible termination. The MAP policy applies to all Nelson Rigg products including the new Rigg Gear brand of UTV luggage and accessories. This policy will be unilaterally enforced with all U.S. and Canadian dealers and internet ecommerce sites including but not limited to; Amazon, eBay sellers.

“Nelson Rigg’s MAP policy is designed to support and protect the dealers and reinforce the quality reputation of our brands and our company as a leading manufacturer in the Powersports Industry,” said Dimitri Cretikos, President Nelson Rigg-USA. “We are and always have been a family owned and operated business and we have spent over 30 years growing our company with the help of our distributors and dealers. It is our mission to provide the highest quality Nelson Rigg branded products, service, and price integrity that our lines deserves and our customers expect.”

Nelson Rigg has implemented state of the art systems to monitor MAP compliance on a 24/7 basis that will track all dealer listings and also provide date stamped screen shots of violators.

“All our Nelson Rigg products sell extremely well when on display at the dealerships/in a retail environment where the customer can touch and feel our high quality and see the innovative features, fit and finishes.” explains Nelson Rigg Brand Manager Rick Brooks; “It is critical for us to do everything we can to support that Dealer in this ever increasing competitive marketplace.”
