Jim Wied, president and owner of BCS International, a powersports product and accessories provider, has announced the purchase of Fulmer Helmets, one of the oldest family-owned motorcycle helmet and apparel brand in the United States.

Fulmer Helmets will now be known as Loken Imports LLC, DBA Fulmer Powersports.

“We have finalized the purchase of the Memphis-based Fulmer Helmets from Arthur Fulmer III, whose family founded the company back in 1969,” Wied said. “Being one of the oldest helmet brands in existence in the U.S., we are extremely excited to continue the legacy of this business. Fulmer was founded on a simple philosophy of value for riders and service to dealers – and we will continue this ideology.”

Fulmer Powersports will offer an expanded line of helmets and accessories under the Fulmer Powersports brand. Helmets will continue to be the core product line, with complementary assortments of riding apparel, gloves and hard and soft line accessories.

“We will continue Fulmer’s tradition as a dealer-driven brand of power sports product lines, and will continue to ship products from Fulmer’s Memphis-based warehouse location to our dealers,” Wied said. “Fulmer Powersports products will be sold directly through our dealer partner’s sales channels.”
