Multiple local Harley-Davidson dealerships have been honored by Harley-Davidson with coveted Silver Bar & Shield Awards for commitment to excellence in customer service and business performance. These locations, Fox River Harley-Davidson, Illinois Harley-Davidson and Starved Rock Harley-Davidson, are all owned and operated by the Windy City Motorcycle Company.
The Windy City Motorcycle Company was founded in 2001 by local couple Ozzie and Jill Giglio. The pair began with Wild Fire Harley-Davidson in Villa Park, Illinois and just 14 employees. To date, they now have 10 dealerships and 3 retail centers in Illinois and in Wisconsin and they employ over 400 people.
Presented by Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Achievement is given to dealers based on motorcycle and related product sales performance, customer service and satisfaction and operational measures. These dealers were near the top 5% of Harley-Davidson dealers in the country. Bar & Shield Award recipients, like Fox River, Illinois and Starved Rock, consistently elevate the brand by providing their customers with exceptional and authentic Harley-Davidson experiences.
“We’re proud to present these high honors to the Windy City Motorcycle Company in recognition of the outstanding work being done at Fox River, Illinois and Starved Rock,” said Mike Kennedy, Vice President and Managing Director for the United States. “Dealers like the Windy City Motorcycle Company are a big reason why Harley-Davidson is one of the most respected and recognized brands in the world and why we enjoy having the loyalty and commitment of our riders.”
Honored recipient Giglio says, “While we aren’t in business to win awards, it always fills us pride when our hard work and commitment to excellence is noticed by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and we take our position within the Harley family extremely seriously. We also take the economic influence within our local communities seriously as well. By employing hundreds of local men and women, we make every effort to ensure that we are continuously building jobs and offering employment to our neighbors, as well as providing Harley riders with a network of flourishing, responsible dealerships that can support them and meet their every riding need.”
