Can-Am, XPS Lubricants Extend Contract with UTV Pro Champion Phil Blurton

Blurton, who competes in the No. 944 Can-Am / XPS / No Limit RD sponsored Maverick X3 Turbo R side-by-side vehicle has been the hottest name in the industry since he started competition racing full time in 2017.

Can-Am and XPS Lubricants, two prominent BRP brands, announced the signing of professional side-by-side vehicle racer Phil Blurton Jr. to a multi-year contract extension. Blurton, the reigning Best In The Desert Pro UTV Turbo class champion, just recently posted back-to-back wins at the prestigious Vegas-to-Reno desert race in Nevada to enhance his off-road racing resume and, once again, put Can-Am in the spotlight.

“Phil Blurton Jr. has exceptional skills on and off the race course. His racing results and first-year title speak to his talent behind the wheel and his dedication to winning,” said Jeff Leclerc, Can-Am race department, team leader. “Can-Am and XPS Lubricants can now continue to utilize his expertise to enhance both our racing and consumer efforts. At the same time, it rewards him for his success and gives him some peace of mind and security moving forward.”

Blurton, who competes in the No. 944 Can-Am / XPS / No Limit RD sponsored Maverick X3 Turbo R side-by-side vehicle has been the hottest name in the industry since he started competition racing full time in 2017. He burst on to the side-by-side vehicle racing scene, winning the 2017 BITD Rookie of the Year award and the 2017 BITD Pro UTV Turbo class title. He and co-pilot Beau Judge’s successive victories at both the prominent UTV World Championships and Vegas-to-Reno events, as well as three solid runner-up finishes, over the last two seasons have already made Blurton one of the most familiar names in the sport.

“I am excited to strengthen my relationship with Can-Am and XPS Lubricants,” said Blurton. “Since we started racing the Maverick X3 vehicle, we have had some amazing success with this platform. We are looking forward to continuing it for years to come.”

Along with new Can-Am racing and XPS Lubricants ambassador agreements, Blurton and Philip Blurton Sr., along with the championship-winning Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo R race vehicle, attended the BRP CLUB event on Sept. 9, in Denver, CO.
