BMW Motorrad USA has announced pricing and product details for the all-new HP4 Race and C evolution.
The 2018 HP4 Race (arriving at dealers in the Fall) will have an MSRP of $78,000 and is limited to 750 consecutively-numbered units worldwide. The HP4 is the first motorcycle in the world to offer a fully carbon frame and fully carbon wheels. With 215 hp, it weighs just 322 lbs. It will be a handmade dream come true for 750 enthusiasts. Light White/Racing Blue metallic/Racing Red is the only color combination available.
The C evolution will initially be introduced in the U.S. as part of a pilot program and will only be available (MSRP: $13,750) in California at the time of launch. As interest in the C evolution builds, BMW Motorrad USA will expand this product offering to BMW Motorrad retailers in other states. As the world’s first electrically powered premium large scooter, the C evolution presents BMW Motorrad’s first step toward alternative drivetrains. Only the long-range version will be launched in the U.S. (99-mile range) that will include three 115-150 V, 94 Ah lithium ion battery modules from the BMW i3: 12 battery cells per module. It is rated 48 hp with maximum speed of 80 mph and will come with a 5-year, 30,000-mile battery warranty.
